This coffee is expertly produced by TIB Coffee family.

TIB Coffee was founded in June 2020 with a clear mission: to produce world-class washed, natural, and honey-processed coffees from Burundi, while building a genuinely sustainable model that benefits local farmers and uplifts surrounding communities.

This lot comes from Karambo Hill Washing Station, located in Muyinga, a northeastern province of Burundi. The region boasts ideal conditions for specialty coffee: High altitude, abundant rainfall, volcanic, nutrient-rich soils.

These natural advantages, combined with traditional cultivation practices, allow the coffee to express vibrant clarity and a rich flavor profile.

As with most coffees from Burundi, this lot is composed of Red Bourbon—a variety known for its sweetness and balance.

After harvesting, cherries are brought to the Karambo station by approximately 250 smallholder farmers, where they are; carefully hand-sorted to ensure only ripe cherries are used. Pulped and washed using a meticulous wet process. Dried on raised beds, encouraging even airflow and slow, consistent drying.

The result is a bright, complex cup with notes of stone fruit and red berries, layered with creamy chocolate sweetness.

Coffee is a vital economic engine in Burundi, supporting a wide range of households—from basic living needs to education and healthcare. By offering access to a local washing station and direct links to specialty markets, TIB Coffee and the Karambo team are creating lasting value for farming families.

This is more than just great coffee - it’s a meaningful partnership between producers, roasters, and the land itself.
